Top games: Undefeated heavyweights Wayzata, Hopkins collide with plenty on the line

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Editor's note: With school districts postponing games due to weather, some of the games we selected to highlight will not be played as scheduled. 






Other games to keep an eye on

Farmington vs. Apple Valley, 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1. No. 4-4A Farmington (17-1, 10-0) will try to keep its perfect South Suburban Conference record intact against Apple Valley (13-5, 7-3), which trailed 32-17 and then outscored the Tigers 29-21 in the second half to fall short, 53-46 in their first matchup this season.
