And the winner is... MN Girls' Basketball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Kacie Borowicz, Roseau. Borowicz picked apart defenses last week — scoring 35 or more points in three consecutive games. The senior guard's peak performance came on Jan. 7 at Kittson County Central, where she led No. 2-2A Roseau with 39 points. She also tallied 22 rebounds and 19 steals through the three games.

Top performer candidates

Jana Swanson, Cambridge-Isanti. At Mississippi 8 Conference rival North Branch on Jan. 8, Swanson recorded 21 points to lead her team to a 55-37 win. She also grabbed 16 rebounds in the contest. 

Taylor McAulay, Centennial. Centennial's guard performed up and down the court in her team's two wins last week. McAulay recorded 19 points, five rebounds and four assists in a 45-32 win over Andover on Jan. 8. Against Elk River, two days later, she posted 24 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.

Gianna Kneepkens, Duluth Marshall. Huge scoring nights from the sophomore powered Duluth Marshall to two wins last week. Kneepkens erupted for 40 points in a 73-57 win over Bigfork on Jan. 7, and she continued her dominance in a Jan. 11 win at Braham. She recorded 33 points — shooting 77 percent from the field — along with 13 rebounds, four assists and six steals.

Hannah DeMars, Grand Rapids. DeMars finished with two 20-point performances to help her team to two wins last week. She hit 27 points versus Hibbing on Jan. 8 (a 58-54 win) and scored 20 points in a 70-61 win over East Grand Forks on Jan. 11.
