The Wayzata girls basketball team received a compliment from Hill-Murray at the tip of Saturday's championship contest in the Hill-Murray Holiday Tournament.

As the Trojans' 6-3 center, Annika Stewart, jumped into the air to control the tip, Lily Mackley did not jump; instead she backed away to try and defend the tip.

And that set the tone for the contest, as Wayzata rolled to a 67-42 victory to win the tournament title for the third year in a row.

"They are seriously hard to prepare for, especially when your biggest players is only 5-10," said Hill-Murray coach Erin Herman of the Trojans. "But not only are they big — they are extremely talented. Even if they were 5-10, they would be formidable."

Wayzata, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, improved to 12-0 with its victory over the host school. Jenna Johnson scored 19 points to lead the Trojans, while Kallie Theisen had 13 and Stewart finished with 12.

Hill-Murray (10-1) was led by Delaney Runyon, who made four three-pointers on her way to 18 points.
