Scalia's big night from behind the arc helps Stillwater down Suburban East foe Forest Lake

Stillwater made its 3-pointers early, then connected on its free throws late to claim a 59-52 victory over Forest Lake on the Ponies home floor Friday.

Stillwater, ranked No. 6 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, is now 3-1 this season after winning its Suburban East opener while handing the No. 7-4A Rangers their first loss after four wins.

Sara Scalia finished with 21 points, thanks in part to five 3-pointers, to lead Stillwater. Her freshman sister, Amber Scalia, had 10 points while freshman Alexis Pratt added 10.

Abigail Groeneweg scored 13 points to lead Forest Lake, which also got 10 points from both Kenzie Stumne and Abby Leach.
