Sophomore gets Lakeville North to overtime, then makes game-winning free throws

This year, the call went Lakeville North’s way.

With three seconds left in overtime and the game tied 66-66, sophomore guard Lauren Jensen corralled a defensive rebound and turned to head up court. She ran into two Maple Grove players, and as she tried to split them, a whistle was blown and a foul called on Maple Grove.

The clock read 0.3 seconds.

Lauren Jensen made two free throws with 0.3 seconds left in overtime to lift Lakeville North to a 68-66 victory over Maple Grove.

Jensen, a sophomore guard, sent the game to overtime when she hit a runner with 9.5 seconds left in regulation, tying the game 60-60.

Jensen finished with 31 points.
