Players are considered for the Top Performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If any coaches or members of their coaching staff would like to be set up to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Fans' choice for Top Performer

Paige Meyer, Albany: Meyer had 26 points for Albany (10-8, 6-3) in a 56-33 win over Little Falls on Jan. 23. The Huskies fell in their next game 52-45 but sit in a tie for third place in the Granite Ridge Conference.

Top Performer candidates

Lauren Buchholtz, Kingsland: Buchholtz led Kingsland with 28 points and had eight rebounds in a 55-44 victory over Fillmore Central on Jan. 23, helping the Knights (10-8, 7-5) snap a two-game skid.

Megan Voit, St. Cloud Cathedral: Voit scored 27 points in an 82-48 victory over Milaca on Jan. 23, part of a three-game winning streak for St. Cloud Cathedral (14-3, 7-1).

Alyssa Rostad, Houston: Rostad hit seven three-pointers and finished with 30 points for the Hurricanes (15-3, 8-2) in an 80-47 win over Spring Grove on Jan. 26. Rostad’s game helped Houston bounce back from a 53-41 loss to Wabasha-Kellogg Jan. 20.

Erin Lamb, Stewartville: Lamb posted 32 points and 10 rebounds for the No. 8-2A Tigers (16-3, 10-1) in a 75-45 win over Hiawatha Valley League Gold Division and Class 2A, Section 1 foe Byron.

Mary Burke, Mountain Iron-Buhl: Burke had 33 points  in a 76-47 win over Deer River on Jan. 25 for the No. 2-1A Rangers (18-1), who have won 10 straight games. The outburst came a game after she scored a season-low 11 points against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River.

Madeline Loder, Orono: Loder set a new season high with 45 points and also pulled down 10 rebounds in a 77-73 overtime loss to Waconia on Jan. 23. Her previous season-best was 42 points against Holy Family Catholic on Jan. 18. Loder finished with 20 points to help the Spartans bounce back with a 52-46 win over Delano eight days later.

Morgan Hill, Minneapolis South: Hill finished with 29 points in an 80-45 blowout of Robbinsdale Armstrong on Jan. 25. Her performance came at a good time for the Tigers (14-2, 6-0), who had a 13-game winning streak snapped in a 48-42 loss to Bloomington Kennedy on Jan. 20.

Sara Scalia, Stillwater: Scalia set a season-high with 39 points against Forest Lake in a 70-57 victory on Jan. 23. Scalia hit eight three-pointers and finished 13-for-19 from the field.

Makayla Van Nett, St. Paul Como Park: Van Nett helped lead the Cougars (10-7, 6-0) to a 91-73 win over St. Paul Central on Jan. 26 with 29 points. Van Nett scored 22 points the next day in 92-86 defeat to St. Croix Lutheran.
