Jessica averaged 21 points, 7.8 rebounds per game

Playing without her older sister, Katrina, for the first time in her life, Jessica Newman needed to adapt to being the go-to-player. She did a good job in that role.

Newman averaged a team-high 21 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.1 steals per game in leading the Bombers to a 26-4 record. Though the season didn’t end with a repeat state championship, Newman repeated what her sister did in being named News Tribune All-Area Player of the Year.
