Caledonia's Sorenson is Daily News Player of the Year

Senior has played under her father, coach since she was 5 years old

For basically all of Caledonia standout Amber Sorenson's career, Dad was her coach.

It began when she was around 5, dribbling up and down the court - with either hand — while Dad ran his basketball camps.

It came to an end March 16 when Dad coached his daughter in her final high school basketball game, a 58-43 loss to Sauk Centre in the Class 2A state tournament.
