During Charlotte Overbye’s five years on the Mountain Iron-Buhl varsity girls basketball team, the senior guard has surpassed virtually every scoring record within reach.

Yet what Overbye and her MIB teammates accomplished in the past week goes beyond any individual achievement.

The Rangers (26-3) won their first Section 7 title in 17 years and play the Northern Freeze (28-1) in a Minnesota Class 1A quarterfinal at 3 p.m. today at Williams Arena in Minneapolis.
