In an awesome display of hustle, tenacity, toughness and teamwork, Jackson County Central roared out to an impressive 26-10 lead on Fairmont in the first 10 minutes and 29 seconds of Friday’s Class 2A, Section 3 South championship game.

Eight players scored for the Huskies in that opening spurt and the Huskies stayed in command throughout the contest, extending a 36-19 halftime lead into a final 66-38 victory, giving the school its first sub-section championship since 2004.
