CLASS 4A

• SECTION 7: Following an 83-64 loss to Duluth East on Feb. 10, No. 9 seeded Anoka focused on slowing the quick-scoring transition offense of the No. 1 seeded Greyhounds in Thursday night’s first round rematch. The Tornadoes did more than just slow down Duluth East, completely reversing roles in a 62-49 upset win. Anoka deployed a 2-3 zone defense while minimizing second-chance opportunities for the Greyhounds, leading to a 30-15 halftime advantage. In the second half, Duluth East drew to within eight points early, but Anoka made nine of 10 free throws to seal the win. Freshman forward Claire Lundberg paved the way with 18 points, while fellow freshman Kyrah Fredenburg added six points and 10 rebounds. Shamika Hopkins was the only Greyhound in double figures with 14 points. ... Junior Natalie Larson picked an opportune time to score her second basket of the night, scoring on a putback at the buzzer to propel Cambridge-Isanti past St. Francis 51-49 and into the semifinals. Larson finished with four points while junior Whitney Olson led the Bluejackets with 25 points. Senior Jordan Falk paced St. Francis with 20 points.

• SECTION 5: Osseo, the No. 1 seed in the section, cruised to a 60-26 quarterfinal win over Spring Lake Park. The Orioles led 41-15 at the break, and were led by sophomore guard Janay Morton’s 12 points.

CLASS 3A

• SECTION 3: No. 1 seed DeLaSalle began its pursuit of a section championship with a convincing 75-29 win over North Branch. Sophomore center Tyseanna Johnson led the Islanders with 28 points, moving past the 1,000 career point mark in the process. ... Senior guard Kaeli Kraska’s dominant play has carried into the playoffs for Totino-Grace. Kraska led the Eagles’ 58-44 win over Fridley with a team-high 21 points. Kraska finished the regular season’s final three games with point totals of 26, 23 and 31 points. ... Park Center freshman Cayla McMorris poured in a season-high 24 points, lifting the Pirates past Chisago Lakes 71-65. Chisago Lakes junior Whitney Tinjum led all scorers with 29 points.

• SECTION 6: No. 3 ranked Benilde-St. Margaret’s jumped out to a 48-15 halftime lead in its 68-35 win over Mound-Westonka. Junior forward Olivia Antilla paced ten Red Knights in the scoring column with 15 points. ... Holy Family freshman Michaela Rasmussen (14 points) and junior Ashley Hanson (13 points) guided the Fire past Chaska 54-44. Holy Family trailed by three at halftime, but outscored Chaska 26-13 in the second half.

CLASS 2A

• SECTION 4: Viria Livingston turned in a memorable performance in all areas of the game to power Minneapolis Edison past Trinity 72-45. The eighth grader led the Tommies with 22 points, 10 rebounds, eight steals and six assists.

• SECTION 5: Sophomore forward Kate Theisen (18 points) and junior guard Marissa Janning (17 points) led Watertown-Mayer past Litchfield 59-44. The Royals made 15 of 17 free throws in the second half. ... Glencoe-Silver Lake’s Clarissa Ober not only scored the game winner in the Panthers’ 40-39 win over Norwood-Young America, but made sure it would stand. Ober blocked a possible game-winning basket by the Raiders in the closing seconds to preserve the victory. The 6-foot-1 sophomore center finished with 12 points, ten blocks and seven rebounds.

CLASS 1A

• SECTION 4: Dontrayia Cole recorded a triple-double as Minnesota Transitions turned away Bethany Academy 67-50. The junior forward finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Freshman guard Olivia McCabe paced Bethany Academy with a season-high 24 points.
