Jefferson eliminates Shakopee

• SECTION 2: Britney Scherber (17 points) and Anna Smith (15 points) combined for 32 points, lifting Bloomington Jefferson over Shakopee 48-44. Smith also grabbed 10 rebounds. ... No. 3 seed Edina won its quarterfinal matchup against Chanhassen in convincing fashion, 83-45. Junior guard Katybeth Biewen had a season-high 24 points for Edina.

• SECTION 3:
Senior guard Hannah Hughes had a career-high 21 points, including five five-pointers, as Lakeville North beat rival Lakeville South 86-32 in the quarterfinals. ... Senior guard Amanda Beckman scored a season-high 19 points to power Eastview past Burnsville 52-34.

• SECTION 4: Junior guard Jen’Von’Ta Hill’s three-pointer with 5:39 remaining in the game broke a 37-37 tie and keyed an 8-0 St. Paul Central run as the Minutemen prevailed 48-44 over Stillwater. Hill and fellow junior Marliah Guerra-Edwards each scored 12 points to pace Central.

• SECTION 6: Twelve different Royals scored as No. 1 Hopkins dispatched St. Louis Park 73-18. Sophomore guard Mikaala Shackelford scored 14 points to lead Hopkins. ... No. 2 seed Minneapolis South held a narrow 32-26 halftime lead but pulled away in the second half in its 60-46 win over Minneapolis Southwest. Junior guard Sattoria Rule led the Tigers, ranked No. 4 in state, with 19 points. ... Ranked No. 10 in state but seeded third in a deep section, Minnetonka rolled past Armstrong 59-44. Katy Winge had 15 points.

• SECTION 1: Red Wing rolled to an opening-round 91-57 win over Albert Lea. Senior forward Danielle Brooks paced the Wingers with 19 points. ... Sophomore guard Bailey Kreuger’s three free throws broke a 57-57 tie and lifted Waseca past No. 3 seed Simley 60-57. Simley senior guard Anna Nelson led all scorers with 21 points, a season high.

• SECTION 4: Sophomore guard Haley Housh scored a season-high 34 points to guide Visitation past St. Paul Johnson 91-73 in quarterfinal action.
