Jessica January lifts Richfield past Roosevelt

RICHFIELD 80, MINNEAPOLIS ROOSEVELT 66: Sophomore guard Jessica January scored 30 points for Richfield, the seventh time this season she’s scored at least that many, leading the Spartans past Roosevelt. The Teddies had four players in score in double figures: sophomore Tyneka Cage (17), junior Kadejja Young (16) senior Kaylani Edwards (14) and sophomore Breeyana Brittain (14).

NEW LIFE ACADEMY 38, MARANATHA 28: Senior guard Rebekah Schmidt’s 13 points and eight rebounds led New Life Academy (17-6) to the victory in a defensive battle.  Maranatha (14-9) led 18-16 at the half, but was outscored 22-10 in the second half of this MCAA conference tournament semifinal game.

ELK RIVER 60, PARK CENTER 54: Senior guard Annie Sizen scored 20 points, including 18 from her six three-pointers, to lead the Elks over Park Center.  Freshman center Cayla McMorris had 18 points in the loss for Park Center.

ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 68, CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI 57: Junior guard Christine Thorn ‘s 16 points led St. Michael-Albertville over Cambridge-Isanti.  Junior guard Whitney Olson  carried Cambridge-Isanti with 29 points, including nine 3-pointers in the loss.

VISITATION 60, SOUTH ST. PAUL 58: The Blazers rallied from an eight-point deficit with less than three minutes left inthe second half, closing the game with a 10-0 run to pull out the victory. Katie Gavic led Visitation with 15 points.
