Superior’s roster lists Jessica Lindstrom and Hailey Kontny as freshmen, but their on-court presence more closely resembles seniors.

Lindstrom scored 27 points and Kontny played a key defensive role Tuesday night as the Spartans beat Duluth East 55-38 at Superior to split their high school girls basketball season series.

The girls, who have played together since sixth grade, were on Superior’s first girls' team to win a Division 1 traveling team state title last spring.
