Minneapolis South 44, Robbinsdale Armstrong 39. The fifth-seeded Tigers held the fourth-seeded Falcons to 13 points in the first half and maintained a lead through the entirety of their Class 4A, Section 6 quarterfinal. Morgan Hill, the state’s eighth-leading scorer, was the only member of Minneapolis South to reach double figures with her 14 points. Masengo Mutanda had a game-high 17 points as one of four players for Robbinsdale Armstrong who scored. 

Roseville 63, Osseo 43. Kaia Porter’s game-high 19 points carried fourth-seeded Roseville to a Class 4A, Section 5 quarterfinal victory over No. 5 Osseo. Jay Johnston followed Porter with 16 points, while Mikayla Homola had a team-leading 18 points for the Orioles as their only double digit scorer. Roseville advances to face top-seeded and seventh-ranked Park Center on Saturday.

Champlin Park 56, Irondale 41. Allison Gerads had a game-high 19 points while three other starters for the second-seeded Rebels notched double figures in their Class 4A, Section 5 win against No. 7 Irondale. Dora Okpara scored 12 for the Knights, while Erica Hicks and Amanda Pollard chipped in 14 and 13 points, respectively, for Champlin Park.

Northfield 63, Austin 51. Third-seeded Northfield held No. 6 Austin to 21 points in the first half and kept pace in the second to advance to the Class 3A, Section 1 semifinals. Annika Hoff scored a game-high 20 points for the Raiders. Awenia Nywesh was the only Packers player to reach double digits as she posted 17 for Austin.

Cretin-Derham Hall 51, Tartan 46. The Raiders, seeded third in Class 4A, Section 4, pulled away late on the shoulders of Elizabeth Edinger’s 16 points in the section quarterfinals. Zaria Whitlock posted a game-high 21 points for sixth-seeded Tartan.

Prior Lake 89, Chaska 81. Sophomore McKenna Hofschild, who’s the ninth-leading scorer in the state, posted a season-high 34 points to lift No. 4-seeded Prior Lake past No. 5 Chaska in a Class 4A, Section 2 quarterfinal. Riley Wheatcraft poured in 30 for the Lakers, while the hawks were led by Sarah Althaus’ 24 points and Kaylee VanEps’s 21. Prior Lake will face top-seeded Minnetonka on Saturday.

Lakeville South 73, New Prague 60. Sixth-seeded Lakeville South upset No. 3 New Prague by holding the Trojans to 25 points in the final half. Katie Guentzel scored a game-high 25 points, while teammates Bianca Biffert and Anna Harvey chipped in 15 and 10 points, respectively. Maizie Deihl led New Prague with 17 points.

Visitation 39, St. Paul Highland Park 37. Fifth-seeded Visitation overcame a sluggish first half to upset No. 4 St. Paul Highland Park in a Class 3A, Section 3 quarterfinal. Caitlyn Schreier posted a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double. The Blazers face top-seeded and third-ranked Holy Angels on Saturday.
