Player of the Week candidates for Feb. 6-11

This week's winner

Elizabeth Edinger, Cretin-Derham Hall. The junior forward tallied 29 points in a thrilling 67-62 win over Suburban East Conference opponent Stillwater.

The other candidates

Alyssa Daugherty, Zimmerman. The sophomore guard put up 31 points in a 80-69 win over Delano. Daugherty is averaging 19.9 points per game.

Ellie Gubbrud, St. Paul Central. In an impressive 70-42 win over St. Paul Harding, the junior forward recorded 27 points.

Katie Guentzel, Lakeville South. The senior guard and Augustana (South Dakota) commit scored 27 points in a 80-57 win over South Suburban Conference foe Burnsville.

Heaven Hamling, Grand Rapids. The junior guard recorded 36 points in a massive 87-37 victory over Cloquet. Hamling is averaging 21.4 points per game this season.

Brianna Koop, Rushford-Peterson. The senior forward tallied 31 points in a 72-46 victory over Spring Grove.

Tori Nelson, Henry Sibley. The sophomore forward had an impressive performance in the Warrior’s 64-60 victory over Spring Lake Park. Nelson finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.

Anna Olson, Monticello. The freshman forward contributed 32 points and 15 rebounds in a 60-57 loss to Chisago Lakes.

Meleah Reinhart, New Ulm. The senior guard is ranked first in the state for total points (681) and points per game (28.4). She continues to impress, by posting 33 points in a 69-42 victory over Jordan.

Makayla Van Nett, St. Paul Como Park. The junior guard recorded 43 points in a 95-61 win over St. Paul City Conference opponent St. Paul Harding.
