Totino-Grace's Kraska earns triple-double

Kaeli Kraska

Totino-Grace's Kaeli Kraska enjoyed a statistical rarity last week, posting a triple-double against Spring Lake Park on Jan. 11.

Kraska scored 11 points, dished out 12 assists and grabbed 10 steals to pace the Eagles' 81-55 victory.

"We haven't had anyone at Totino-Grace who has had a triple-double in a long time," coach Bill Essma wrote in an e-mail.

Kraska, a recruit at NAIA Jamestown College, also pulled down six rebounds against the Panthers. She entered the week averaging 14.5 points, five steals and 3.6 assists per game for a Totino-Grace team on a five-game winning streak.

Centennial-Osseo showdown

Centennial and No. 6 Osseo both entered this week a perfect 9-0 in Northwest Suburban Conference games. Their meeting at 7 p.m. Friday at Centennial will give the victor a leg up in the conference title chase.

Centennial, which has gone 11-1 since starting the season 0-2, is riding a four-game winning streak. Danika Gieske (18.4 points per game) and Kahla Becken (16.6) are the Cougars' top two scorers.

Osseo (13-2) started the week on a six-game winning streak and is led offensively by Phillis Webb (15.9) and Gophers recruit Mikayla Bailey (10.1).
