Class 4A

Hopkins continues its streak of dominating performances to remain undefeated and atop Minnesota Basketball News' Class 4A rankings.

The Royals defeated Sioux Falls Lincoln and Sioux Falls Roosevelt, blowing out each of the South Dakota schools by at least 20 points. Excluding a five-point victory over No. 4-4A Eastview in late December, all of Hopkins' wins have come by at least 13 points.

Elk River also remains undefeated on the season. After scoring 72 points or more in two victories a week ago, the Elks moved up to the No. 2 spot. Gabi Haack is the state's fifth-leading scorer (285 points) and second in scoring average (28.5 per game).

Since a three-point loss to Woodbury in early December, No. 3-4A Apple Valley has won nine straight with victories over No. 5-4A Lakeville North, No. 8-4A East Ridge and No. 7-4A Centennial.

Roseville and Park Center have found their way onto the rankings following solid weeks of play.

Roseville defeated East Ridge 51-42 and a dominated Duluth East 61-31 to land at the No. 9 spot.

A three-game skid earlier this season knocked Park Center out of the rankings, but the Pirates are back -- this time at No. 10 -- after victories against Robbinsdale Armstrong and Centennial.
