Recap: Big second half fuels Apple Valley girls' upset of St. Michael-Albertville

Sara Teske scored a game-high 21 points in Apple Valley's 68-47 upset over St. Michael-Albertville in the Breakdown Sports Tip Off Classic on Saturday evening in Hopkins. 

It was a close game at halftime, with the Knights, ranked No. 4 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, only trailing 33-30. However, the Eagles (2-0) asserted themselves in the second half, limiting St. Michael-Albertville to 17 total points while scoring 35. 

Lyndsey Robson and Brynne Rolland provided the complementary offense for Apple Valley, scoring 14 and 11 points, respectively. 

Rae Johnson notched 15 points for the Knights and was the only player to score in the double digits for St. Michael-Albertville (2-1).
