Simley remains undefeated

SIMLEY 65, TARTAN 60: Brittany Willaert scored all 14 of her points in the second half as the Spartans rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to win. Maya Delao led Simley (5-0) with 15 points. Tartan’s Alexis Burbul led all scorers with 19 points.

CENTENNIAL 55, BLAINE 53: After losing its first two games of the season, Centennial has turned things around, holding off Blaine behind 15 points from Danika Gieske and 12  from Kahla Becken. The Cougars  have won four games in a row.

ORONO 68, MOUND-WESTONKA 33: Orono senior forward Alicia Johnson recorded a triple-double Friday, tallying 15 points, 16 rebounds and 11 steals to lead the Spartans to victory. It was the second consecutive triple-double for Johnson, the beneficiary of Orono’s half-court trap that had 27 steals in the contest.

BURNSVILLE 59, PRIOR LAKE 56 (OT): When Burnsville’s Jermisha Watson fouled out with five minutes left in the game, junior Jessica Ranke took over the offensive attack for the Blaze. Ranke had a game-high 22 points, including four in the overtime period to seal the victory. Forward Alyssa Eschrich’s 17 points led four scorers in double figures for Prior Lake.
