Freshman's free throws seal game for Park Center

PARK CENTER 56, ST. ANTHONY 54: Freshman center Cayla McMorris’s pair of free throws with 59 seconds remaining lifted the Pirates over visiting St. Anthony. McMorris led all scorers with 19 points. Freshman Hannah Schaub chipped in with 14 points.

CENTENNIAL 60, ELK RIVER 46: Elk River drained seven first-half three-pointers to draw to a halftime tie at 29. The Elks cooled off after that, as Centennial took control behind sophomore Paige Waytashek’s 15 points. Elk River was led by senior Annie Sizen’s 18 points. The Elks only connected on one three-pointer in the second half.

CHAMPLIN PARK 65, ANDOVER 53: Freshman guard Alexis Alexander scored all 18 of her points in the second half and junior Kate Darnell had 15 of her 21 points in the 2nd half to lead Champlin Park to a come-back victory over the Huskies in the Northwest Suburban. Andover led 27-25 at halftime.

EASTVIEW 58, NEW PRAGUE 49: After falling behind 33-25 at halftime, the Lightning renewed its commitment to an aggressive style of play. Eastview made up its early deficit and then some from the free-throw line, hitting 15-of-19 attempts in the second half. Senior Jenna Dockter finished with 21 points. Junior Anna Rynda scored 14 points for New Prague.
