Jordan junior Kelsey Chambers isn't one with a lot of free time. The three-sport athlete is currently preparing for the girls' basketball season. She also plays volleyball and runs track. Here is a closer look at Chambers:
The best movie you've seen in the past year? "Secretariat" but the best movie ever by far is "Remember the Titans."
Three words or phrases my friends or teammates might use to describe you: Competitive; crazy; goofy.
Favorite pregame meal: A 6- inch sub from Subway with turkey, cheese, lettuce and mayo on it. And, I have to have an apple before every match. And drink a ton of water all day.
What is your favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal and why? I would definitely have to say the mashed potatoes and gravy. Although, everything else is amazing. Oh, I also love the Snicker desert salad.
How do you balance school and sports during the year? It's definitely not easy at all, but it helps that I have parents who are extremely strict about doing things to the best of your ability no matter what it is and that they have high expectations of me in everything I do.
What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? My freshman year, I started on the volleyball team as a right side. We were playing in the semifinals at the state tournament against Hibbing and went five with the last set being 15-12. You can never replace a feeling like that. We won state that year.
Your favorite college or pro sports team and why? I love watching my sister, Brittany, and her team play basketball for Kansas State! I also love the Boston Celtics and Vikings. I love Adrian Peterson.
