The St. Olaf Holiday Hoops Classic kicked off Dec. 28 and features some of the top teams in Minnesota facing each other over the course of three days in Northfield.
Last year's returning tournament champion Hopkins, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, picked up a big 76-69 win over No. 1-3A Orono in the final game on Monday night.
Tuesday's finale featured the Spartans again, this time taking on top-ranked Eastview. The No. 1-4A Lightning escaped with a 52-51 victory as Megan Walstad scored with just four seconds left in the game to keep Eastview undefeated.
Outside of the Royals, Spartans and Lightning, the tourney also features Prior Lake, Eagan, Tartan, Providence Academy, Northfield, Mayer Lutheran and New Richland-H-E-G.
