Eastview is off to a 2-0 start under new coach Molly Kasper, and the Lightning head to Minnetonka on Thursday night for their first big test of the season.
The Skippers (2-1), ranked No. 2 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, look to rebound after a 49-45 loss to No. 9-4A Rochester Mayo at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic on Saturday.
Even with just three seniors on the roster, No. 4-4A Eastview is not light on experience. Juniors Rachel Ranke and Allie Pickrain are each averaging 14.5 points per game.
Minnetonka is led by seniors Lizzie Odegard and Courtney Fredrickson, who average 16.7 and 13.0 ppg, respectively.
This early season top-10 matchup should feature plenty of offense and help determine the pecking order in Class 4A behind top-ranked Hopkins, which makes it our Top Game of the Week.
