Maple Grove, Osseo, Park Center among victorious teams at Tip Off Classic

Mackenzie Barta posted a team-high 21 points in Maple Grove's triple overtime victory over Roseville on Saturday morning at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic at Hopkins High School.

Barta, a 5-foot-9 senior and Harvard commit, scored all her points after halftime, including five of the Crimson's (1-1) eight points in the third overtime period.

Kaylee Nelson led the Raiders (1-1) with 21 points.

Kiara Russell scored a game-high 27 points as Osseo defeated Eden Prairie 56-44 at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic on Saturday at Hopkins High School.

Azaria Reed notched 10 points and 11 rebounds as the Orioles improved to 2-2 on the season.

The Eagles (0-2) got 12 points each from Jordan Schinas and Zoe Hardwick.

Mikayla Hayes scored 15 points as Park Center downed St. Michael-Albertville 66-60 on Saturday afternoon at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic at Hopkins High School.

The Pirates (2-0), ranked No. 8 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, also got 14 points from Danielle Schaub and 12 points from Ann Simonet.

The Knights (2-1) got a game-high 18 points each from Kitri Zezza and Sydney Tracy.

Hallee Hoeppner and Eden Nibbelink scored 23 and 21 points, respectively, as Winona cruised past Chisago Lakes 85-56 at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic on Saturday.

The Winhawks, ranked No. 4 in Class 3A by Minnesota Basketball News, hit 12 three-pointers to improve to 2-0.
 
The Wildcats (0-2) got 31 points from Carmen Backes.
Taylor Larson scored 13 points in Goodhue's 69-60 win over Mountain Iron-Buhl on Saturday at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic.
 
The Wildcats (3-0), ranked No. 2 in Class 1A by Minnesota Basketball News, also got 12 points a piece from Sydney Lodermeier and McKenzie Ryan.
 
Chelsea Mason scored 22 points for the No. 1-1A Rangers (2-1).
Madison McKeever notched a game-high 35 points in Win-E-Mac's 70-62 victory over Mankato Loyola on Saturday at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic.
 
Alayna Espeseth chipped in 19 points as the Patriots, ranked No. 5 in Class 1A by Minnesota Basketball News, improved to 2-0.
 
The No. 8-1A Crusaders (2-1) got 30 points from Lindsey Theuninck and 26 points from ReaAnn Dose. 
 
 
Alexa Molin scored a game-high 18 points as White Bear Lake defeated Rochester John Marshall 63-52 on Saturday at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic.
 
The Bears (2-2) also received 14 points from Alison Hinck and 10 points from Taite Anderson.
 
The Rockets (2-1) were led by Nicole Fautsch with 25 points.
Courtney Hruska set a new career-high with 23 points in Rochester Mayo's 49-45 win over Minnetonka on Saturday at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic.
 
The Spartans (3-0), ranked No. 9 by Minnesota Basketball News, also got 19 points from Anna Winter.
 
The No. 2-4A Skippers (2-1) were paced by Lizzie Odegard and Courtney Fredrickson with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Tori Andrew scored 34 points as Orono defeated Centennial 59-49 on Saturday at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic.
 
The Spartans (3-0), ranked No. 1 in class 3A by Minnesota Basketball News, also got 10 points from Danielle Jorgenson.
 
The No. 6-4A Cougars (0-2) were led by Sara and Sydney Stapleton, who scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.
