Coach Kris Hamling returns for her 2nd season as the head coach for the Thunderhawks of Grand Rapids. Plenty of returning talent along with some young players coming in excites the staff. 

Taylor Kane, a Northern State recruit, will use her senior leadership and experience to help mold a lot of the talented younger girls who'll be asked to do big things if the Hawks want to go far this season. Kane averaged a double double last season scoring 16.9ppg and grabbing 10.9 rpg.

Heaven Hamling can score in a hurry when asked, but also possesses great PG skills. She brings an average of 8.8 ppg back to the squad, which was as an 8th grader. A great future for this young lady is likely. 

A lot will also be asked of players like Hannah Morris (7.6ppg), Claire Peterson, Kari Kuschel, & Jordan McCartney to name just a few.

Section 7AAA is full of great teams like Chisago Lakes, Princeton, and North Branch that will be fighting with the Hawks all season long for good postseason position and then for the right to get to the state tourney.

Coach Hamling, along with her staff Brad Peterson, Rich Kane, and Sara Oja, are looking forward to improving on last years 19-10 record which is indeed a possibility. Look for good ball pressure & a quick pace from this bunch this season whenever they have the opportunity. Hopefully T-Hawks faithful get out and support these young ladies this season. They'll see an exciting bunch of young ladies who truly love playing the game.
