The 6-2 forward was second on the team in scoring during the regular season. She averaged 17.1 points per game. Here is a closer look at Johnson:

The best movie I’ve seen in the past year: “Django Unchained.”

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are … “Tonight” by John Legend; “Battle Scars” by Lupe Fiasco; “M. A. A. D City” by Kendrick Lamar.

What are your three favorite apps? Wattpad; Twitter; Ruzzle.

Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why? My sister. She is my hero!

Three words or phrases my friends or teammates might use to describe you: Loud; proud; and a leader.

How did you get started playing basketball? Basketball has always been a part of my life. My grandpa was a coach, and I would go to his games as a baby. It was just a matter of time before my mom signed me up to play, but she first had me try other sports (softball, cheer, dance and soccer).

At my first varsity practice, I felt … excited and scared, and thankful for the upperclassmen who took me under their wing and made me feel welcome. It was the first day of tryouts my freshman year, and I was pulled out of the locker room to go with the varsity team.

What is your favorite pregame meal? IHOP (country omelet with no onions and a side of pancakes).

I know I have an edge on an opponent when … I’m left open beyond the arc.

What did you work on most during the offseason? This past summer my focus was spent on conditioning, shooting and preparing to lead my team.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? Playing in the state tournament last year.

What were your goals before the 2012-2013 season? To win the Class 4A state tournament on March 16.

Who is your school’s biggest rival, and why? Lakeville North has been our biggest rival. Not only do we meet twice in conference play, but my freshman and sophomore years we faced them in the section championship games and both were tough battles and great games. Whenever we play them, the gym is always packed and the fans are intense.

If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be? For basketball season to be a fall, winter and spring sport.

When you have time off during vacation, what do you like to do? Visit my mom in Phoenix.

Who is your favorite college or pro sports team and why? The Boston Celtics (Kevin Garnett) and Chicago Bulls (Michael Jordan and Derrick Rose).

Do you have a secret talent —and if so, what is it? My dancing and singing skills are pretty impressive.

In 10 years, I hope I’m … working as a school counselor or helping at-risk youth.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? “See the 3 — Be the 3!” And “Work hard and have fun!”
