Hopkins girls hold No. 1 state basketball ranking
Seven games into the 2012-13 girls basketball season, the Hopkins Royals were undefeated and ranked No. 1 in state.
Even with a couple of injuries, the Royals have been able to keep the machine running. They proved themselves in a 65-61 win over another state Class 4A contender, Bloomington Kennedy, and on Dec. 8, they thumped defending state Class 2A champ Providence Academy, 47-25.
