• WAYZATA 49, EDINA 26: Just three days after handing top-ranked Hopkins its first loss of the season, No. 5 Wayzata showed no letdown in a convincing upset at No. 2 Edina. The Trojans' stifling defense swarmed the Hornets, holding them to a season-low 26 points. Senior forwards Marissa Grossfield and Kayla Timmerman each had 12 points for Wayzata.

• COOPER 58, BENILDE-ST. MARGARET'S 36: Ashli Lee and Talayiah Rich each scored 12 points, and Chelsey McGee had 11, as Cooper topped Class 3A, No. 4 Benilde-St. Margaret's in the North Suburban. Cooper held BSM to 11 points in the second half, and the Red Knights' 36 total points were a season low.

• OSSEO 67, CENTENNIAL 52: Osseo jumped out to a 10-point halftime lead, pacing itself to a win over Centennial in a game for first place in the Northwest Suburban. The Orioles (21-5) had three players in double figures, led by senior guard Mikayla Bailey with 15.

Apple Valley loses • LAKEVILLE NORTH 76, APPLE VALLEY 68: Sophomore point guard Tyus Jones led all scorers with 29 points, but it wasn't enough to help Class 4A, No. 5 Apple Valley against Class 4A, No. 2 Lakeville North. Senior forward Tyler Flack had 18 points to lead the Cougars' balanced offensive attack; 10 different players scored for Lakeville North.

• SECTION 6: Ches Masserano's goal 5 minutes, 2 seconds into the third period turned out to be the game-winner as Armstrong surprised defending state champion Eden Prairie 2-1 in the quarterfinals on Thursday night in Eden Prairie. Matt Ripka, who assisted on Ches Masserano's goal, scored the Falcons' opening goal on a power play in the first period. Armstrong goalie Michael Greenberg was outstanding, stopping 49 of 50 shots. Austin MacLeod scored the second-seeded Eagles' lone goal with 7 minutes, 36 seconds left. Armstrong, the seventh seed, had just 17 shots on goal.

CLASS 1A

• SECTION 2: Senior defenseman Benjamin Tegtmeyer had five assists, leading an offensive onslaught for No. 1 seed Breck in a 14-1 quarterfinal rout of ninth-seeded Richfield at Parade Ice Gardens on Friday. The Mustangs had 11 players register at least two points. ... Second-seeded Delano opened the game with five goals in a row, cruising to a 7-2 victory over No. 10 Minnehaha Academy. Senior forwards Drake Hunter and Dean Halonen and sophomore forward Justin Oja each had three points for Delano.

• SECTION 4: Junior T.J. Roo had three goals and three assists, and younger brother Carter, a freshman, had four points in second-seeded Totino-Grace's 7-1 quarterfinal win over No. 7 Chisago Lakes at Aldrich Arena in St. Paul on Friday night. At least one Roo had a point on every Totino-Grace goal. ... Senior forward Tanner Jordan scored three goals, senior defenseman Blake Gunderson had four assists, and third-seeded Mahtomedi dominated No. 6 St. Paul Academy 5-1. Senior Nick Nelson added two goals for the Zephyrs.
