State tournament Day 2 recap: Hopkins hangs on, Minnetonka cruises in Class 4A semis

The rivals meet for the third time this season — with a state title on the line. DeLaSalle is set for a showdown with rival Benilde-St. Margaret for the Class 3A title, while the Class 1A semis are set.

Hopkins held off Maple Grove in the Class 4A semifinals and now meets Minnetonka in the championship — a game the Skippers reached after cruising past St. Michael-Albertville. DeLaSalle earned a rematch with Benilde-St. Margaret's for the Class 3A title, and all four of the top seeds advanced to the Class 1A semifinals.
