Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email scores@nbcuni.com


Top performer winner

Taryn Hamling, Grand Rapids: Hamling, a senior guard, scored a season-high 36 points to lead Grand Rapids to a 68-46 win over Rocori Dec. 29. The North Dakota State commit helped the Thunderhawks extend their win streak to eight games

Top performer candidates

Kylie Verthein, Lewiston-Altura: Verthein helped the Cardinals snap a seven-game losing streak Dec. 29 in a tight 55-53 win over Luther. Lewiston-Altura needed every point it could get from Verthein, who finished with a team-high 30 points in the win. 

Jordan Anderson, Buffalo: After scoring just four points in a 54-45 loss to St. Cloud Dec. 29, Anderson bounced back a day later with 28 points in a 64-51 win against Horace (ND). The performance was a career-high for the senior guard.

Ava Wagner, Le Sueur-Henderson: Wagner helped Le Sueur-Henderson secure its first win of the season with a 34-point performance Dec. 30. The senior and the Giants beat Mankato Loyola 71-46.

Paige Ford, Randolph: Ford played well on both ends of the floor for Randolph, finishing with a season-high in points (31) and steals (eight) while also grabbing seven rebounds. The performance helped Randolph beat Mabel-Canton 69-37 Dec. 30.
