Bulldogs' Evans picks up fourth consecutive double-double

Swanville got a chance to finish off the week strong on Thursday when they traveled to Clarissa to take on the Eagle Valley Rebels.

Despite a two point deficit going into halftime, the Bulldog girls rallied in the second half to take down their conference opponent 45-40.

“This was a very physical game for both teams,” head coach Aaron Gapinski said. “I was proud of the way the girls battled back after being down at halftime.”

Marissa Evans scored a game high 23 points while pulling down 12 rebounds.

Gapinski was happy with how the team was moving the ball and taking good shots.

“We haven’t been shooting a very good percentage the last couple games, but we are getting good looks,” he said. “The girls need to continue shooting with confidence even though shots aren’t dropping for them.”

With the win, the Bulldogs move to 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference.
