And the winner is... MN Girls' Basketball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Payton McEachern, Zimmerman. McEachern tallied 32 points, four rebounds and five assists on Feb. 26 in a 62-56 triumph over Foley. Her scoring average this season is 13.1 points per game. That win extended Zimmerman's (10-3) winning streak to five games.

Top performer candidates

Kassandra Caron, Academy of Holy Angels. The guard for Holy Angels (12-1) guided her team with a efficient outing against Fridley. In the Feb. 25 contest, Caron supplied 32 points, on 10-of-14 shooting, along with six rebounds and three steals in the Stars' 76-38 victory. Holy Angels is ranked No. 3 in Class 3A by Minnesota Basketball News from Feb. 24

Risa Jones-Riley, Minneapolis Henry. Jones-Riley put two double-doubles on display last week. Her best outing came against Brooklyn Center on Feb. 22 when she had 26 points and 15 rebounds securing Minneapolis Henry's (6-6) 71-45 victory. She also had 30 rebounds (15 in each matchup) in her two games last week.

Maya Nnaji, Hopkins. On Feb. 26, Nnaji dropped 25 points, one of her highest totals this season, leading No. 1-4A Hopkins (12-0) to a 81-34 rout of Edina. She is the top scorer for the Royals, averaging 21 points per game.

Ella Runyon, Hill-Murray. Runyon displayed two 20-point outings in the week helping No. 2-3A Hill-Murray to two victories. Her highest scoring total was on Feb. 23 when she poured in 26 points to help the Pioneers (12-1) beat Mahtomedi 70-39.
