We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

CANCELED Waconia vs. Chaska, 7 p.m., Saturday, March 6. Matchups between unbeaten teams are becoming more rare this late in the season, but Saturday's game between No. 6-3A Waconia (12-0) and No. 3-4A Chaska (12-0) could be one such contest. The Hawks rallied past Wayzata, 61-59 on Feb. 26 behind Mallory Heyer's 16 second-half points to remain undefeated, while the Wildcats have won all but one of their games this winter by double-figures.

Willmar vs. Alexandria. 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 2. Willmar (10-2) and Alexandria (10-3) have each lost just once in Central Lakes Conference play this season and the winner of this Cardinals versus Cardinals rematch should be in the driver's seat to claim the conference crown with only two weeks remaining in the regular season. Willmar won 53-36 in the first matchup back on Jan. 15.
