We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Minneapolis South vs. Minneapolis Southwest, 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11. There's a logjam at the top of the Minneapolis City Conference standings with three teams beginning this week with just one league loss, but Thursday's tilt between traditional powers South (4-2, 4-1) and Southwest (3-2, 3-1) could help sort it out. The Tigers feature one of the state's best scorers in senior Jade Hill (31.2 ppg).

St. Paul Central vs. St. Paul Como Park, 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11. On the other side of the river, the top two teams in the St. Paul City Conference standings also play Thursday night, as Central (3-0, 3-0) visits No. 4-3A Como Park (4-0, 4-0). The Cougars are averaging 102.5 points per game, almost half of that comes from the combo of juniors Ronnie Porter and Cloey Dmytruk.

Minnetonka vs. Chaska, 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12. While these two west mero powers are in different conferences, there is Class 4A, Section 2 seeding intrigue with both still unbeaten in the section. No. 6-4A Minnetonka (7-1) lost its only game this season by a single point to No. 1-4A Hopkins (63-62 on Jan. 26), while No. 3-4A Chaska (6-0) has won each of its games by no less than 38 points.
