See who fans voted as the Top Performer for Jan. 25-30

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Maci Farmer, Jackson County Central. Farmer's effort, especially on the defensive side, provided a boost to end Jackson County Central's (1-4) four-game losing streak. The sophomore recorded 22 points, 13 rebounds and seven steals on Jan. 29 in an 85-75 defeat of Pipestone Area.

Top performer candidates

Madison Mathiowetz, Sleepy Eye St. Mary's. Mathiowetz made her presence known for the Knights, No. 4 in the Class 1A Minnesota Basketball News rankings from Jan. 27, on Jan. 29 as she nearly recorded a quadruple-double. She piled up 34 points on 15-of-16 shooting, and tallied 12 rebounds, seven assists and 10 steals in Sleepy Eye St. Mary's (5-0) 84-16 blowout of New Ulm Cathedral.

Cate Moe, Blake. After garnering just two points in a tough loss in the previous contest, Moe scored 30 points on Mounds Park Academy, leading Blake (4-2) to a 73-36 win on Jan. 28. She also captured four rebounds and three steals in the contest. The senior is averaging 19.8 points per game this season.

Miah Monahan, Glencoe-Silver Lake. A big effort from Monahan helped Glencoe-Silver Lake (4-1) hang on to a 59-50 victory over Litchfield on Jan. 28. In the contest, she accumulated 31 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and six steals.

Lilly Nuytten, Hastings. Nuytten provided vital defensive stops to lead Hastings (3-2 to back-to-back wins. On Jan. 26, she forced five steals and four blocks to help cement the 47-42 triumph at Tartan. Two days later, the junior extended for five blocks while also providing 22 points to beat Simley 44-38.
