And the winner is...MN Girls' Basketball Hub Top Performer revealed

See who the fans voted as the top performer from Feb. 3-8.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Girls' Basketball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Dora Okpara, Irondale. Okpara is a junior center who was a major presence for the Knights this past week when they took on St. Francis. She poured in team-best 40 points and helped lead Irondale to a 77-61 win over St. Francis on Feb. 8.

Top performer candidates

Kirstin Robbins, Heritage Christian. The senior guard showed she could do it all for her team on Feb. 3. Robbins added 35 points to go along with 13 rebounds as the Eagles cruised to an 81-43 victory over Orono.

Maggie Czinano, Watertown-Mayer. Czinano is back in the top performer race as she rolls along as the top scorer for Watertown-Mayer. That was true once against this week. The junior guard scored 31 of her team's 60 points as the Royals defeated Rockford on Feb. 7.

Taya Hakamaki, Cromwell. The Cardinals have won 19 of their first 21 games this season and Hakamaki has been a key player in Cromwell's success. This past week, she knocked down seven three-pointers as the Cardinals bested Proctor 61-56 on Feb. 3. On Feb. 8, Hakamaki was at it again as she poured in 28 points to lead the team and propel Cromwell to a 59-46 win against Mountain Iron-Buhl.

Mia Curtis, Minnehaha Academy. The senior guard showed this past week she could get to a double-double. She also showed she could do in it different ways. Curtis' first double-double came as she scored 26 points and shelled out 10 assists as the Redhawks topped Blake 66-62 on Feb. 4. Then, Curtis tallied 24 points and 10 rebounds as Minnehaha Academy won 52-40 against St. Peter on Feb. 8.
