Jordan at No. 5-2A Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted
4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1

Jordan star senior Madison Dean (28.7 ppg) just became the third player in school history to break the 2,000-point barrier, joining the company of all-time leading scorer Brittany Chambers and Leah Dietel. She likely won’t catch Chambers, but the Drake commit is still an outstanding scorer and gym rat. The Jaguars are on a four-game winning streak entering this week in which Dean has totaled 131 points, including a season-high 41 in a 79-65 victory over St. Peter last Saturday. Dean and the Jags will be tested by a potent Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted team that features a trio of double-digit scorers in Abby Miller (18.1 ppg), Mackenzie Uter (13.2 ppg) and Gabby Gruenhagen (13.1 ppg). The Lakers have lost just once in 14 games and can really fill it up, averaging almost 70 points per game (69.1).
