Lakeville North at No. 1 Eastview
7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31

It certainly is a big week for Lakeville North, as the Panthers visit Bloomington Kennedy on Tuesday night in another of our top 10 games of the week, then travel to No. 1 Eastview on Friday night in this game. That’s back-to-back games against two of the best programs in the state, a certain challenge for the Panthers. North trails Eastview by two games and Kennedy by one in the South Suburban Conference race. The Panthers hung tough with Eastview for a half back on Dec. 20 before falling 57-38. Sophomore Sarah Krynski (6.7 ppg) led North with 15 points — her high mark for the season — while Kari Opatz (13.7 ppg) and Madison Guebert (19.8 ppg) paced Eastview with 14 and 12 points, respectively. The Lightning led by just four at halftime before pouring in 35 second-half points. Eastview also limited Panthers’ leading scorer Temi Carda (11.6 ppg) to just six points.
