Anoka at No. 3 Centennial
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14

Anoka was a state tournament qualifier last year with largely the same lineup returning, but it’s upstart Centennial with the best start to this season. All right, that’s a bit of a misleading statement. The Cougars have four seniors already committed to play college ball (twins Daizjah and Destinee Morris to Army, Jasmin Bretoi to Wayne State and Jill Conrad to Northern State) and are a veteran team that goes at least another five players deep. Anoka is also deep and experienced, as its two leading scorers (Claire Lundberg and Kyrah Fredenburg) were key freshman on the 2011 Tornadoes’ team that won just three regular season games but ended up in the state tournament.
