Stewartville vs.

Kasson-Mantorville

7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9

A pair of road-weary Hiawatha Valley League contenders that are unbeaten collide Tuesday night when No. 9-3A Kasson-Mantorville hosts No. 8-2A Stewartville.

Kasson-Mantorville (7-0) is returning home after a four-game road winning streak that ended with the KoMets claiming a tight 58-55 victory at Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial last Saturday. Senior center Mya Suess (18 points, 20 rebounds) sparked a rally from a six-point halftime deficit, aided by sophomore guard Aby Shubert (19 points) and senior forward Avery Irish (11 points).

Stewartville (6-0) is closing out its own four-game road trip with Tuesday's matchup. The Tigers raced past defending Hiawatha Valley Gold Division champion Rochester Lourdes on Feb. 5, winning 65-42 behind a game-high 23 points from sophomore guard Haylie Strum, who has the unusual nickname "Fella."
