Perham vs. Pelican Rapids

7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21

Few teams have been as dominant this season as Pelican Rapids. The Vikings have been perfect (24-0, 11-0) and the only game left on their regular-season calendar is a Friday matchup at home with Perham.

The breakout season likely hasn't surprised many after the Vikings lost just two games a year ago. Defense has been key this season as No. 5-2A Pelican Rapids has held opponents to an average of fewer than 39 points per game.

Junior Anna Stephenson is a Viking opponents should keep an eye on. She scored 24 points in a 66-64 win at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Dec. 6.

Class 2A, Section 8 foe Perham (16-8, 6-4) is also having a good season as it heads into its final two games of the regular season.

The Yellowjackets' Katie Johnson and Sydney Anderson each have shown the ability to produce double-digit point totals this season.
