Stillwater vs. Forest Lake

7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17

If you want to see a smoothly-run offense in operation, schedule a trip to see one of Stillwater's basketball games. The Ponies average more than 70 points per game and they've won seven of their last nine games.

Stillwater (9-4, 6-1) has eclipsed the 90-point mark twice this season, defeating rival Woodbury 97-69 on Dec. 6, and the No. 10-4A Ponies also took down Cretin-Derham Hall on Dec. 10 in a 91-47 triumph.

How have the Ponies been so dominant on offense? The trio of Alexis Pratt, Amber Scalia and Liza Karlen each average more than 14 points per game, with Pratt, a junior guard, leading the group with more than 18 points a game.

While Stillwater has the offensive production to turn heads, Forest Lake stands right with the Ponies at the top of the Suburban East Conference standings.

The Rangers (11-3, 6-1) might not average 70-plus points a game, but they've been just as effective in getting wins.

Junior guard Logan Anderson is one of the driving forces for the Rangers' offense with 18.8 points per game.
