Norwood-Young America

vs. Tri-City United

7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19

The race for the Minnesota River Conference crown has been tight all season, and with time running out, there's a real urgency to avoid dropping a crucial game. Three teams with 10 or more victories sit atop the standings, including Norwood-Young America and Tri-City United, and which team takes home the league hardware could come down to Tuesday's rematch between the Raiders and the Titans.

Abby Mackenthun and Hayden Glander combined to score 43 points to pace Norwood-Young America in the first matchup — a 69-50 win for the No. 7-2A Raiders (18-2, 10-1).

After finishing in the middle of the conference standings the past few years, Tri-City United is having one of its best seasons as the Titans have a chance to win a share of the conference title for the first time this decade — but first, they'll have to beat a Raiders team they haven't been able to topple in 10 years.

Turning around that trend may start with Maggie Trnka, who leads the Titans (16-6, 11-2) in scoring average at 16.8 ppg but is capable of piling up the points. She posted a season-high 30 points in a 65-41 win over Sibley East on Dec. 18.
