Minnehaha Academy vs. Heritage Academy

7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21

Minnehaha Academy is coming off its biggest offensive display of the season — beating St. Paul Academy 89-25 on Saturday — but a repeat performance could be difficult when the Redhawks run into defensive-minded Heritage Academy.

Nevaeh Galloway led No. 6-2A Minnehaha Academy (4-5, 1-0) with a season-high 21 points against St. Paul Academy. Meanwhile, Mia Curtis (17.5 ppg, 5.4 assists per game) continues to remain the Redhawks' dominant force. The duo's play will be key in how Minnehaha Academy fares against Heritage Academy and its stifling defense that allows a mere 35.3 points per game.

The most points the No. 1-3A Eagles (7-0, 0-0) have allowed this season was 44, which was to Mayer Lutheran on Nov. 29. They have gotten big contributions from Taylie Scott and Jordyn Allen defensively. Scott leads the team with 4.8 steals per game, while Allen leads the team in blocks, swatting 2.8 per game.
