Centennial vs. Maple Grove

7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30

In another pivotal Northwest Suburban Conference contest, Centennial (15-3, 10-1) will travel to Maple Grove (15-3, 10-1) on Tuesday.

Centennial’s 71-52 win over Champlin Park on Friday gave the No. 7-4A Cougars a one-game advantage over the Rebels in the division standings.

Centennial's Taylor McAulay scored 25 points in Friday’s win, and she’ll need a similar performance against the No. 11-4A Crimson.

While Maple Grove will attempt to slow down McAulay, the Crimson will look for offensive production from Autumn Mlinar and Katrina Theis, who have combined for 31.4 ppg this season.

Maple Grove's lone league loss came against Park Center (60-53 on Dec. 19), leaving the Crimson and Pirates tied atop the West Division standings.
