Park Center vs.

Champlin Park

7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1

A huge matchup looms in the Northwest Suburban Conference as one of the best from the West and North divisions collide.

Park Center (12-6, 10-1) has been successful in league play thanks to its scoring distribution — the trio of Meghan DuBois, Sommer Blakemore and Adalia McKenzie combine to average 38.4 ppg.

The No. 10-4A Pirates' only conference loss was an 82-60 decision to No. 10-4A Centennial on Dec. 14.

Champlin Park (14-3, 9-2) recorded its first division loss on Friday in a rematch with Centennial, failing to hold court in a 71-52 defeat to the Cougars. The No. 6-4A Rebels eked out a 58-54 victory in the matchup on Dec. 21, and they also have a 61-52 loss to West Division foe Maple Grove on Dec. 12.

A big game from Erica Hicks would help the Rebels avoid another loss. Hicks is averaging 19.3 ppg and she tallied 19 in a 68-56 loss to Park Center last season.
