Hayfield and Lyle/Austin Pacelli have played in some wild games against No. 2-1A Goodhue this season, now they’ll battle each other.

The No. 9-2A Vikings (16-4, 10-2) won their first season meeting against Goodhue 46-34 on Dec. 13 and are coming off a 49-46 loss to the Wildcats on Feb. 3. where McKenzie Ryan hit a three-pointer at the buzzer. The loss put the teams in a tie for first place in the Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division. Olivia Matti led the Vikings with 18 points and 14 rebounds in the Goodhue loss. Carrie Rutledge had 14 points.

The No. 6-1A Athletics (16-4, 12-0) lost 54-49 in overtime to the Wildcats on Jan. 7. They'll enter this matchup after a 78-70 loss to No. 8-1A Maranatha Christian Academy on Feb. 3 where the Mustangs went on a 21-4 run in the second half to take control.

Abby Bollingberg had 22 points for the Athletics, who led 44-36 at halftime against Maranatha. Kristi Fett had 13 points, and Bethany Strouf added 11 and Kendal Truckenmiller finished with 10.
