Kasson-Mantorville at Goodhue
7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22

The cross-class, Hiawatha Valley Conference cross-division matchup between Kasson-Mantorville and Goodhue is a good litmus test for both teams.

From the Blue Division, Goodhue has just one slip-up this season, coming at the hands of No. 5-4A Lakeville North on Dec. 29 at the Rochester Rotary Tournament.

Sophomore Sydney Lodermeier has led the No. 1-1A Wildcats (15-1, 8-0) to six straight wins since their lone loss, and Goodhue gets another shot at defeating a Class 3A top-10 team on Friday.

An Iowa State commit, 6-foot-2 junior Kristin Scott averages more than 20 ppg for a Kasson-Mantorville team trying to reach the state tournament for the third straight year.

The No. 4-3A KoMets (14-2, 7-0), from the Gold Division, face a stiff Wildcats defense that gives up just 44.6 ppg.
