Watertown-Mayer at New London-Spicer
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 21

New London-Spicer have been a bit up and down this season, with the losses coming at the hands of No. 10-2A Annandale, No. 2-2A Sauk Centre and No. 5-2A Albany within 15 days at the end of December.

But the No. 6-2A Wildcats (11-3, 3-1) have won six straight games since their loss to Albany on Dec. 30, led by senior Megan Thorson (10.5 ppg), and the competition doesn't get any easier in Wright County Conference play.

On Tuesday, New London-Spicer faces Litchfield, a team that took No. 8-2A Watertown-Mayer to the wire on Jan. 15, with the Royals (9-3, 3-0) pulling out a 58-56 win.

Junior Claire Killian (21.2 ppg) is the main cog in Watertown-Mayer's offense, but the Royals feature a three-headed attack with junior Kirstin Klitzke (14.9 ppg) and sophomore Monika Czinano (14.1 ppg) providing plenty of scoring.
